TRAUMA SUPPORT
Trauma has always maintained an impact on student learning and growth. As educators, we cannot turn a blind eye to major traumatic events as they directly influence student outcomes.
Our trauma services offer an opportunity for all school staff to learn ways to support children and young adults as they process and navigate these adverse childhood experiences in a way that they can feel safe and supported. Moreover, our approach leverages student strengths, develops skills and relationships that help offset risk exposure, and builds student and family resilience for both short and long-term success.

SERVICES AVAILABLE
Our approach is to provide a training experience that addresses specific site needs and empowers school staff to utilize the Protective Factors, including strategies such as restorative practices. Our service options for Trauma Support include:
Professional Learning (virtual | 2-4 hours)
Participants learn about trauma, its impact on youth, and how they can help.
One-Day Workshop (in-person/virtual | 6 hours)
Participants learn about the foundations of trauma and its impact on youth and school staff. They explore the use of the Protective Factors to combat trauma responses and build resilience.
Consultation & Coaching (in-person/virtual | time varies)
We utilize a collaborative approach to provide individual or small group support to create and maintain trauma-sensitive school climates.
