DISPROPORTIONALITY &
ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS

Addressing educational inequities and disproportionality within our schools is vital to student success. With over a decade of experience, we help district teams address these issues and develop equitable action plans designed to produce improved outcomes for students. Our trained Technical Assistance (TA) Facilitators partner with the school district leadership team to engage in a root cause analysis process to discern systemic patterns resulting in disproportionality.

Our goal is to reduce the long-term impacts of inequities and disproportionality, which can include lower academic expectations and achievement, higher dropout rates, as well as emotional and social issues.

We partner with the school district’s leadership team to engage in a root cause analysis process to discern systemic patterns resulting in disproportionality. Our comprehensive support includes the following:

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Analysis

We collect and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data to identify success gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Disproportionality Identification
For LEAs identified as "disproportionate," we work with district teams to facilitate a root cause analysis process. Once root causes are identified, we assist with the development of an action plan for equity.

Significant Disproportionality (Sig Dis) Identification
We have three experienced Technical Assistance Facilitators, who are qualified to support LEAs from identification through the development of a comprehensive plan addressing all area(s) of disproportionality. We are highly skilled in facilitating leadership meetings, data analysis/root cause analysis, Policy/Procedure/Practice review, focus group facilitation, etc.

Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CCEIS) Plan Implementation

Our team has supported the implementation of multiple solutions that have demonstrated effectiveness in reducing disparities and eliminating significant disproportionality.
