2025–2026 Annual Impact Report
A Year in Partnership
In the 2025–2026 school year, Collaborative Learning Solutions partnered with 20 districts serving approximately 336,615 students. Our Annual Impact Report shares what that work included, how partners rated it, and what educators told us in their own words.
Our mission is to change the trajectory of marginalized youth by unlocking opportunities through partnerships with educational and social service agencies. During the 2025-2026 school year, that commitment showed up in work ranging from foundational restorative culture building to district-level consultation and leadership development.
The Year at a Glance
Our work with 20 partner districts and roughly 336,615 students (by average daily attendance) was organized around four strategic pillars:
Restorative Practices, building restorative school cultures through training, conferences, and train-the-trainer support
MTSS & PBIS, coaching sites and district teams to build sustainable, data-informed systems of support
Leadership & Organizational Development, supporting the leadership teams who guide this work
Targeted Student and Staff Interventions, addressing specific district needs such as implicit bias, significant disproportionality, and Restorative Justice and Accountability and Resiliency Centers
Restorative Practices
Restorative Practices remained a foundation of our service model. We worked with 9 local educational agencies (LEAs) representing 158,313 students, delivering the RP Experience, Restorative Conferences, RP Train the Trainer (TOT), and targeted restorative support.
Participants responded strongly. 100% found the training relevant, useful, responsive to their questions, and well organized, and 100% recognized the trainer's expertise and would recommend the training to others.
"The RP TOT PD really filled in some holes I had in my understanding of RP. I feel better empowered to share this." — Certificated Teacher, Garden Grove USD
"This provides more insight on how circles can be used for various areas in classroom settings." — Certificated Teacher, Baldwin Park USD
MTSS Improvement
Through our Integrated Framework for MTSS Improvement, we provided site coaching and tiered consultation (Levels 1–3) to 7 LEAs representing 205,813 students. The goal is to help districts build sustainable, data-informed environments that their own teams can carry forward.
90% of Design Team participants said they valued the collaboration and planning time the work created.
"I liked that the trainer allowed our team to direct the conversation and took time to really try to listen and understand our school." — Kern HSD
"I loved the community building activities and flexibility to make the agenda match our needs. It was very responsive, and the presenter was spot-on in her observations and recommendations." — MTSS Coordinator, Sacramento City USD
Leadership & Organizational Development
We supported 2 LEAs representing 52,256 students through Social-Emotional Behavioral Planning (SEBP) and District and Area Leadership Team (DLT/AOLT) consultation. In SEBP work, 100% of participants rated the training 4 out of 4, and Classroom Coaching participants in Fontana USD named practicing real scenarios as especially beneficial.
"The training was overall very informational and fun, and I really liked the group and trainer." — Classified Staff, Fontana USD
Targeted Student and Staff Interventions
This pillar responded to specific district needs, and partners consistently rated it at the top of the scale. Across Accountability and Resiliency Centers, Restorative Justice Centers, and SEBP, 100% of participants rated the training 4 out of 4, citing guidance, support, and usable resources as most valuable.
Implicit Bias. With 3 LEAs representing 23,959 students, staff examined how bias shapes their interactions with students.
"This was a great training to take pause and really examine what biases we have and how they affect the way we work and interact with students." — Classified Staff, Konocti USD
Accountability and Resiliency Centers (ARC). Partners singled out the process guidance and the practical resources they could put to use right away.
"The work was meaningful, and I can see how it will be beneficial to our system." — Panama Buena Vista USD
Restorative Justice Centers (RJC). With 4 LEAs representing 37,763 students, including North Thurston Public Schools in Washington, we prepared staff and student advocates to lead restorative work on their campuses.
"After this training, I'm looking forward to helping other students with issues that may occur." — Student Advocate, Palmdale Academy Charter School
Significant Disproportionality. We supported 6 LEAs representing 145,926 students as they built plans to address significant disproportionality, in collaboration with the California Department of Education (CDE).
"CDE and CLS played a vital role in helping me create the plan. Their input and guidance was invaluable in creating our plan." — Director, El Monte ESD
Looking Ahead
Thank you to every district team, school leader, and educator who partnered with us this year. Your openness to reflection, collaboration, and growth is what makes this work possible, and we look forward to continuing to build sustainable, data-informed systems together in 2026–2027.
If your district is planning its next steps in restorative practices, MTSS, leadership development, or targeted supports, we would welcome a conversation. Connect with our team to talk about what partnership could look like for your schools.
