MEET THE PARTS OF YOUR BRAIN

We hope that the lessons are helpful to you and your children.

Elementary Lesson – Meet the Parts of Your Brain

Instructions: 

  1. Please start by sharing this video with your students.

  2. After watching the video, ask the students to name the parts of the brain and what they do.

  3. Have them draw and color a picture of the brain, using a different color for each part of the brain.

Secondary Lesson – Your Brain is Plastic

Instructions:  

  1. Please start by sharing this video with your students.

  2. After watching this video, ask the students what additional questions do they have about the brain or something said in the presentation. Write no less than three questions. Hearing the questions from the students can prompt what other topics you'd like to explore on this in your classroom.

  3. Define the following words as a group: neuroplasticity, dendrites, synapses, neurons, axons, brain cells, synaptic pruning, and memory
