Mindfulness Settles Us - Session #1

We hope that the lessons are helpful to you and your children.

Elementary Lesson

Instructions:

  1. Watch the video

  2. What did you like best about the video?

  3. Choose one person with whom you would like to share the video.

  4. Find a quiet place in your house and practice 1 minute of quiet belly breathing.

  5. Open your eyes and notice how you feel.

Secondary Lesson

Instructions:

  1. Watch the video

  2. Do you think Mindfulness should be taught in schools?

  3. What do you think about what these teens are saying? What did you learn?

  4. Practice breathing for 3 minutes with eyes closed in a quiet space. Only think about your breathing and not all the others things going on.
