Daily SEL Lesson – Building Emotional Literacy 4/7

Welcome to the CLS Daily SEL lesson. Each day, Monday through Friday, we will provide a new social-emotional learning lesson designed to build emotional intelligence and resilience. There will be a lesson for elementary students and a lesson for secondary students that include media (videos, audios, or text) and simple step-by-step instructions.

Elementary Lesson – All Emotions Have a Purpose

  • What kinds of emotions do we feel?
  • Which emotions are the hardest to manage?
  • What are some reasons why it is important to feel different feelings?
  • Make a poster that illustrated the different emotions people have and why they have them.

Secondary Lesson – Science of the Heart
